Waves Method focuses on mastering the basic elements of swimming: Balance, Buoyancy, Motion, Breathing, and Rhythm. The basis of our teaching method is the Universal Float, which teaches students the ability to remain safe and in control in the water. All our instructors understand the importance of accomplishing a comfortable and secure float before moving to any type of propulsion. Once we have achieved an elevated level of comfort, we gradually teach students more advanced movement and breathing. Eventually, instructors introduce basic stroke work until students learn Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Elementary backstroke, side stroke and butterfly. Our methods are proven to provide our students with the tools they need to be successful in water, whether they are recreational or competitive swimmers.
